Tamper Detector – simple, reliable solution for the physical protection of the device 

Tamper detector serves the physical protection of the device. Practically, it prevents the device from being stolen.

Features

• Can be used for the protection of VPE / VPN (Virtual Private Ethernet / Virtual Private Network) connections or for the protection of stored data.
• The TAMPER detector stores a hidden key. This key is encoding the VPE / VPN connections or the stored data (Crypto FS).
• The TAMPER detector erases the hidden key (and so breaks off the VPE / VPN connections or makes the stored data unreadable ), if
  • the device is dislocated,
  • the casing is opened, or
  • because of the open casing it detects incoming light.
• The hidden key can be re-installed after typing the password.
• It contains 3 separately operating sensors for the sake of safety:
  • acceleration sensor
  • TAMPER switch
  • light sensor.
• The sensors can be activated and configurated separately  according to the environment the device is placed.
• The sensitiveness of the certain sensors can be adjusted optionally.
• The TAMPER detector operates from an internal battery, so it protects the device in switched off state as well.
